Home Events Dr Chris Martin Dr Chris Martin University of New South Wales Scientia Senior Research Fellow, City Futures Research Centre, UNSW Sydney Associate Professor Chris Martin is a housing researcher and Scientia Fellow in the City Futures Research Centre, UNSW Sydney. Chris has qualifications in political economy, law and criminology, and a special interest in rental housing policy and tenancy law. Chris has led and participated in numerous inquiries and research projects for ϲ, the Australian Research Council (ARC) and other research funders. These include ϲ’s ‘Inquiry into the future of private rental’ and ‘Inquiry into socially supported housing pathways’, and the ϲ projects ‘Regulation of residential tenancies and impacts on investment’ and ‘Towards a National Housing and Homelessness Strategy’. Before joining City Futures, Chris was the Senior Policy Officer of the Tenants' Union of NSW, and a past Chair of Shelter NSW.
