Dr Chris Martin is a housing researcher and Scientia Fellow in the City Futures Research Centre, UNSW Sydney. Chris has qualifications in political economy, law and criminology, and a special interest in rental housing policy and tenancy law.

Chris has led and participated in numerous inquiries and research projects for ���ϲ�����, the Australian Research Council (ARC) and other research funders. These include ���ϲ�����’s ‘Inquiry into the future of private rental’ and ‘Inquiry into socially supported housing pathways’, and the ���ϲ����� projects ‘Regulation of residential tenancies and impacts on investment’ and ‘Towards a National Housing and Homelessness Strategy’.

Before joining City Futures, Chris was the Senior Policy Officer of the Tenants' Union of NSW, and a past Chair of Shelter NSW.
